Chapter Meetings 2022 - 2023

Chapter meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month, September-December and February-June. We have a very active schedule with options for some evening and zoom gatherings to accommodate working women and junior members, so please note the times of each meeting. Chapter Activities 2022 - 2023

August 17, 2022 (Wednesday), 7:00-8:00 pm “Introduction to the DAR” Workshop for those interested in joining and new members. Free of charge. August/September 2022 Write Christmas cards to veterans or active military personal and bring with open envelopes to the September 8, 2022 meeting. September 2022 Join Algonquin Chapter, NSDAR, Book Club month. Discussion meetings on zoom 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings. In-person discussion meetings held monthly on request. September 11, 2022 (Sunday), 8:00 am September Conservation Bird Walk November/December 2022 Wreaths Across America Joint project with Algonquin Chpater, NSDAR, and Rebecca Dewey Chapter, NSDAR. Sponsor a wreath for a veteran’s grave December 17, 2022 (Saturday), Noon Wreaths Across America – day in the field to lay wreaths locally January 2023 Wreaths Across America – wreath removal day in the field. Details TBA. February 2023 Backyard Bird Count for Conservation. Details TBA. February 2023 DAR Online Education Month March 5, 2023 (Sunday), 8:00 am September Conservation Bird Walk April 22, 2023 (Saturday) Earth Day Service Beach Clean-up Day April 23, 2023 (Sunday) Earth Day/Arbor Day Tree Plant Day (tentative) May 29, 2023 (Monday) Memorial Day Parade June Lest We Forget Booth July 4, 2023 (Tuesday) 4th of July Parade Float August Coloma Glad Peach Festival Parade Float Other projects and fundraisers will be added as they are scheduled.
